The “T-Mobile G2x with Google by LG” is going to have to get used to living with a nickname. Where the phone really stands out though is the screen. The device itself offers the standard  4-inch, 800 x 480 pixels (as well as a giant 8-megapixel camera). However, the games you download from the Android Appstore and the images you shoot with that powerful lens can be mirrored through HDMI to an HD television. As AT&T, T-Mobile’s new owners, have indicated that they might shut down their new acquisition’s 4G networks, that might not matter too much but still, the distinction has to be made clearly.

We’ve been over the specs before and they are solid but not world-beating; 1.5 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM, 16/32 GB Storage and a 7″ screen with 1024 x 600 resolution. But the specs aren’t really the story of the Flyer. The work that HTC has done with Sense and the addition of a pen with a legitimate digitizer steer it in a completely different direction than the other tablets burning up the charts at the moment.

The fact that it isn’t launching with Honeycomb seems to be a sticking point for some and if you are a developer (or a user for that matter) that just wants the Android tablet reference design obviously you are not the target for the Flyer. However, if you are assuming that because it isn’t Honeycomb it isn’t optimized for tablets then I think you need to take a second look at what HTC has done with Sense and Scribe on the Flyer. In my opinion it looks potentially more like a tablet optimized experience than anything I’ve seen short of the Courier mock-ups.

While the emphasis on the pen might make this feel like a bit of a niche device HTC does have you covered if you are interested in videos or gaming on your tablet. The HTC Watch service looks competitive with the other offerings out there presently and the OnLive gaming integration is potentially quite interesting.

Before you rush to hit that pre-order button, I’m sure you take my advice that seriously, I want to be clear that I haven’t used one personally yet so I can’t attest to whether HTC has delivered on what they are promising. Two basic concerns I have with the pen are that it is an optional accessory which considering its deep integration with the device seems bizarre and as the former owner of a pen-enabled tablet I can assure you that the inability to store the pen in the tablet will be frustrating. With that said I have heard good things from a number of individuals that I trust who have had hands-on time with the Flyer so I’m not just being blindly optimistic.

Based on the video its safe to assume that HTC is focusing mainly on the student and/or enterprise user, which are the same demographics that manufacturers have failed to capture with Windows tablets for the last decade. If you fall into either of those categories I’m particularly interested in your opinions on the Flyer, but feel free to sound off even if you are just looking for a tablet for personal use.

Overall, Android is equal to or slightly superior in terms of available applications that people are interested in and find useful, particularly in no-cost applications that are useful. Blackberry seems to lag behind, but they are making progress as well.

All platforms have a plethora of useless applications that number in the tens or hundreds of thousands.

The Mozy mobile app is a new, free feature for MozyHome customers and is available immediately for download at http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mozy/id427293902?mt=8. There is no extra cost to current MozyHome customers.

The Mozy app for Android devices will available soon, also at no extra cost to current MozyHome customers.

A similar feature for MozyPro® customers will be available at a later date.

Versions available outside the U.S. and in languages other than English will be available at a later date.

LG Optimus Me P350 Android Phone Specs. LG has presented a new Android phone in the form of the LG P350 Optimus me. Many different hardware manufacturers have already released their various tablet offerings on the market with heavy hitters like the Apple iPad 2 and Motorola XOOM leading the pack. But, while these hard hitting devices have been creating quite a bit of buzz there are many other competitors looking to get down on the fun with their own offerings.

One such company that is looking to steal a bit of thunder from the aforementioned companies is none other than HTC with their Android powered Flyer tablet. For those not familiar with the HTC Flyer it features a 7-inch display with 1024 x 600 resolution, 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, 32GB of internal storage and a 5 megapixel rear facing camera. All of this is pretty much on par with other tablet offerings expect for on a software level where the HTC Flyer features Android ‘Gingerbread’ 2.3.3 rather than the tablet specific Android Honeycomb.

Luckily, we’ve been told in the past that HTC would be giving the tabelt Honeycomb at some point and it has been confirmed again today. This time, HTC has taken to Twitter to respond to a question saying they “will be offering a Honeycomb upgrade when it’s made available”. This most likely means when Google allows HTC to customize the Honeycomb UI with their own Sense UI.
